Following RAE Decisions 734/2021 and 775/2021, HEDNO, as Operator of the Non-Interconnected Islands (NII) and on the occasion of the closing date for the completion of Phase A of the electricity connection on the island of Crete on 1.11.2021, would like to announce the following:

 

  1. Pursuant to Article 4 of extra Annex C of the Non-Interconnected Islands Electrical System Management Code, the Producers of Conventional Plants, in order to take part in the Small Connected System Market of Crete, are requested to enter the Producers of Conventional Plants Agreement for Participation in the SCS Market of Crete with HEDNO. This agreement shall be effective from the Closing Date of the completion of Phase A until the Closing Date of the completion of Phase B of the electricity connection of the island of Crete to the Mainland System, as these phases are specified in para. 2 and para. 3 of article 108Γ, respectively, of law 4001/2011, as in force.
  2. Pursuant to Article 5 of extra Annex C of the Non-Interconnected Islands Electrical System Management Code, the Load Representatives, in order to take part in the Small Connected System Market of Crete, are requested to enter the Load Representatives Agreement for Participation in the SCS Market of Crete with HEDNO. This agreement shall be effective from the Closing Date of the completion of Phase A until the Closing Date of the completion of Phase B of the electricity connection of the island of Crete to the Mainland System, as these phases are specified in para. 2 and para. 3 of article 108Γ, respectively, of law 4001/2011, as in force.

 

The Load Representatives who are already operating in Crete and are interested in entering the Load Representatives Agreement for Participation in the SCS Market of Crete, from 01.11.2021, shall proceed with the Procedure for the voluntary deactivation and termination of the Load Representatives Agreement for Participation in the Non-Interconnected Islands (NIIs) Market which has been posted on HEDNO’s website.  

 

  1. From the Closing Date of the completion of Phase A of the interconnection of Crete, RES Plants of the SCS of Crete shall be invoiced by the Renewable Energy Sources Operator & Guarantees of Origin (DAPEEP SA). Applications for the access of RES Producers to the SCS network in Crete shall be submitted according to the specifications of Article 2 of Annex C of the Non-Interconnected Islands Electrical System Management Code.
  2. From the Closing Date of Phase A of the interconnection of Crete and onwards, all deductions for RES Plants of Crete's SCS intended for the Local Authorities, the Green Fund and Holders of Electricity Supply Licenses, shall be paid to the beneficiaries by DAPEEP SA.
  3. As per the provisions of para.e of article 108Γ of l. 4001/2011, as in force, HEDNO shall conduct supplementary clearance of the SCS market of Crete on a monthly and annual basis for the amounts pertaining to the dealing of energy which has been generated by Conventional Plants in Crete, by taking into account the respective amounts which have been cleared in the Electricity Markers of l. 4425/2016. Pleas note that these clearances pertain to transactions of the Operator with the Producers of Conventional Plants and the Load Representatives operating in the SCS of Crete.
