We promote the principles of the circular economy, enhancing the recycling and reuse of waste. Our aim is to reduce waste production and preserve the value of the products and resources we use to the maximum extent possible.

• Green philosophy: Through recycling activities for aluminium, glass, plastic, paper and light bulbs, we enhance the environmental awareness of our employees.
• Natural environment restoration: we ensure responsible management and restoration of the natural environment in each of our projects.

Firmly focused on the challenges of climate change, our priority is to protect the environment and reduce our environmental and energy footprint through responsible business activity.

• International Commitments: Our strategic plan is fully aligned with the commitments of the Paris Agreement and the Glasgow Treaty, seeking to limit global temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels
• Actions: We are taking actions such as:
  • • Optimal integration of electromobility into the Electricity Distribution Grid.
    • Maximising the use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
• Net Zero Roadmap: By implementing a Net Zero roadmap and science-based targets (SBTi), we are committed to reducing emissions from grid losses and equipment, achieving carbonization by 2040.

We are adapting our facilities and operations to natural hazards, strengthening our resilience to extreme climate events.

Action plans: We adopt flexible contingency plans to manage extreme events and protect our infrastructure.

Protecting biodiversity is our priority. We support actions to protect endangered species and implement measures to protect ecosystems.

• Protecting storks: We continue our stork chick ringing activity, which allows us to study their migratory movements, life span and behaviour. In addition, we are placing artificial nests on the network poles, repairing and relocating nests when necessary, and replacing ducts to protect the birds.
• Underground networks: We develop underground networks in forested areas reducing the risks to birds during their passage.
• Preventive measures: We place insulating covers at critical points of the network to avoid accidents and protect wildlife.

We are committed to maintaining the value of the natural environment and biodiversity by enhancing natural capital where possible.
