Professional Master “Modern Distribution Networks – HEDNO”
Oriented towards energy transition and innovation, and utilizing the new institutional framework of HEIs (2022), HEDNO, as a key pillar of the Greek energy ecosystem, in collaboration with the University of Western Macedonia, created the first Professional Postgraduate Program entitled: “Modern Electrical Distribution Networks“.
This program aims to provide specialized knowledge and applied training in areas related to the development and management of the national electricity grid. It is addressed to both HEDNO executives and graduates from outside the company, who wish to specialize in cutting-edge technologies.
Specifically:
- 40 HEDNO executives and 15 graduates of Engineering and Science Departments are selected each year to participate.
- Participants gain applied knowledge in critical areas such as energy planning, intelligent grid management, distributed generation and electromobility.
Venues and Teaching
The courses take place:
- In the modern facilities of the University Campus in the SPA of Kozani.
- At the Schools and laboratories of HEDNO in Attica and Florina.
Teaching is done by:
- Academics of the University of Western Macedonia and other educational institutions.
- Specialized executives of HEDNO with many years of experience in the respective disciplines.
In addition, participants attend lectures by HEDNO executives, other Network Operators and energy agencies, both from Greece and abroad, gaining a holistic understanding of the modern energy sector.
