Social Residential Tariff and Vulnerable Customers

The Social Residential Tariff (SRT) is offered by all electricity suppliers and applies only to the primary residence of eligible beneficiaries.
According to decisions no. Δ5-ΗΛ/Β/Φ29/16027/6.8.10 and ΥΠΕΝ/ΔΗΕ/136162/2333 it is provided to protect vulnerable consumer groups. This tariff is offered by all electricity suppliers and concerns only the main residence of eligible customers.
Through the website of IDIKA S.A., all eligible customers, regardless of their chosen electricity provider, can apply to join the SRT. A condition for submitting the application is that the electricity bill must be issued in the name of the person submitting the application.
Customers who are already benefiting from the SRT must submit an application to IDIKA S.A. every year, within one (1) month from the end of the deadline for submitting personal income tax returns, as defined by the applicable regulations or any extended deadline. A reassessment of eligibility is then carried out.
According to decision Δ5/ΗΛ/Β/Φ29/οικ.23823/23.12.2013, in the event of an announcement declaring the implementation of short-term measures to reduce airborne particulate emissions by the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change for the region of Attica, or by the competent Regional Governor for the rest of the country’s regions, for twice the number of days compared to the actual application of the aforementioned short-term measures, the energy consumption charge under the competitive part of the Social Residential Tariff (SRT) is zero for SRT beneficiaries residing in the area where these measures are applied.
