Municipal fees
Frequently Asked Questions
As part of the modernization of services provided to both citizens and administrative bodies, HEDNO has launched a web application to facilitate the exchange, updating, and certification of real estate data within Municipalities. This system allows Municipalities to provide information regarding the electrification status of each property, the supplier representing it, and the relevant time periods.
Additionally, certificates for “Cut-Off Services” are now issued by the respective Municipality, eliminating the need for customers to visit HEDNO offices.
Properties where the electricity supply has been disconnected are exempt from paying the single contributory charge for cleaning and lighting, starting from the date the owner or their legal representative submits a declaration to the relevant Municipality, stating that the property is not electrified and will not be used.
If, despite the submission of the declaration, it is later established that electricity has been reconnected or the property is being used, the applicable fees from the time of exemption, along with a corresponding fine, will be imposed on the liable party.
Debts related to cleaning and lighting fees for the period prior to the announcement—during which the electrification of a property was terminated, as confirmed by the competent network operator, and the property was not used, based on a solemn declaration from the owner or legal representative—will either be canceled or not enforced.
If the solemn declaration was not submitted by the time the announcement came into force, it must be submitted within six (6) months. Amounts already paid will not be refunded.
HEDNO remains responsible for issuing Municipality certificates for uncounted benefits beyond 10 years.
