The Operator evaluates the connection request based on the assumption that electric vehicle batteries operate exclusively as loads. Therefore, discharging energy from the vehicle’s battery back to the electrical installation or the grid is not permitted.
The cost of connection to the Network through a new supply is calculated according to the System for Calculating the Participation of LV or MTV Consumers, in accordance with the applicable legislation (Ministerial Decision Government Gazette B΄ 440/30.3.2007). For this calculation, the coefficients of the Participation System applicable to general (non-residential) consumers are used.
The regulated charges for a supply used exclusively for EV charging are calculated based on the unit rates applicable to universal service supplies. To benefit from reduced regulated charges, the consumer may request a dual tariff (day/night).
Yes. If an installation includes other loads in addition to charging infrastructure, the consumer may configure the system so that
the charging infrastructure is supplied by a separate circuit, and request the installation of an internal meter for discrete metering and/or billing (e.g. for applying special competitive rates by the Supplier). The conditions for the installation of the internal meter are:
- The charging infrastructure is connected to an MT or HT supply with an agreed capacity greater than 55 kVA (Supply Categories No. 5, 6, and 7);
- Both the charging infrastructure and the other loads are registered under the same consumer profile.
Note: The energy charges for the charging infrastructure are attributed to the contracted user of the supply, even if a different entity (e.g., an EV Charging Infrastructure Operator) manages the charging point.
More detailed technical specifications (approved meter types, accessories, connection requirements, certification procedures and costs) are provided in the document: “Information Note for the Installation of the Metering Device of Electric Vehicle Recharging Infrastructure in the Indoor Consumer Installation” available on HEDNO’s website.
he consumer is solely responsible for: ensuring that the internal electrical installation is configured so that the internal meter measures only the charging infrastructure’s energy; guaranteeing the proper operation and communication of the internal meter with the telemetry system, as HEDNO has no authority to access or intervene in the internal installation. These obligations are binding upon the consumer upon conclusion of the Connection Agreement.
