Special Pilot Project of Astypalaia – Smart Sustainable Island
The Special Pilot Project (SPP) of Astypalaia aims to transition the island to clean energy to meet its energy needs. At the same time, it supports the increased demand resulting from the promotion of electromobility.

Accumulator system: Max charge/discharge power: 5 MW Storage capacity: 10.16 MWh
Implementation Phases:

- Coverage of at least 80% of the island’s total energy demand.
- Expansion and upgrade of RES generation capacity and the HS storage system.
This project integrates innovative solutions, contributing to the green transition of Astypalaia and the creation of a smart, sustainable island.
