HEDNO Announcement regarding the exhaustion of available capacity in the saturated network of the Interconnected Cyclades pursuant to Article 132 of Law 4819/2021

Pursuant to paragraph 1(b) of Article 132 of Law 4819/2021 (Government Gazette A’ 129/23.07.2021), a maximum total capacity of 20 MW was allocated exclusively to photovoltaic stations, excluding self-consumption stations with simultaneous and virtual net metering, stations falling under Article 14A of Law 3468/2006, and stations of the Special Programme for the Development of Photovoltaic Systems in building installations, within the Paros–Naxos–Syros–Mykonos cluster of the saturated network of the Interconnected Cyclades.

Given that the available capacity margin of 20 MW has been fully exhausted, the Distribution Network Operator, with respect to the remaining complete connection applications submitted under Article 132 of Law 4819/2021, will proceed with the following actions, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned article and paragraph 6 of Article 2 of Ministerial Decision ΥΠΕΝ/ΔΑΠΕΕΚ/81744/3673 (Government Gazette B’ 4221/10.08.2022):

  • rejection of pending applications awaiting technical assessment;
  • rejection of applications for which a letter of inability to connect to the Network has been issued and for which Producers have expressed interest in maintaining their application pending;
  • return of the submitted bank guarantee letters for the above rejected applications.
