Here you can find out about the current framework in case of a notification of short-term measures to reduce particulate matter emissions from combustion sources.
Special subsidy for household electricity consumption to tackle smog pollution.
In the event of a notice declaring the implementation of short-term measures to reduce particulate matter emissions from combustion sources, and in particular a recommendation to stop the use of fireplaces, solid fuel heaters and biomass heaters by the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change for the Region of Attica or the competent Regional Minister for the other Regions of the country, the following shall apply to household consumers residing in the territorial scope of the previous measures and for the four-month period during which the implementation of the measures in question took place:
For a number of days equal to the days of application of the above short-term measures, the energy consumption charge for the competitive part of the electricity supply tariff shall be equal to 30% of the respective household tariff of each electricity supplier.
The quarterly consumption scale limits for both the competitive and the regulated part, as defined in the respective household tariff of each electricity supplier up to the consumption limit of 2000 kWh, shall be extended according to the formula:
Δ.Ο.Τ.Κ.i = Ο.Τ.Κ.i * (1+ 2*A.H.E.M./120), where:
| Δ.Ο.Τ.Κ.i : | Extended quarterly consumption limits for each category of beneficiaries |
| Ο.Τ.Κ.i : | Existing limits for quarterly consumption for each category of beneficiaries |
| A.H.E.M. : | Number of days of application of measures |
Suppliers must inform the eligible household customers they represent through the bills they issue of the application of the above provisions.
For twice as many days as the days of application of the above short-term measures, the energy consumption charge for the competitive part of the C.O.T. is zero.
The four-month consumption limits, as defined for each category of beneficiaries, shall be expanded according to the formula:
Δ.Ο.Τ.Κ.i = Ο.Τ.Κ.i * (1+ 2*A.H.E.M./120), where:
| Δ.Ο.Τ.Κ.i : | Extended quarterly consumption limits for each category of beneficiaries |
| Ο.Τ.Κ.i : | Existing quarterly consumption limits for each category of beneficiaries |
| A.H.E.M. : | Number of days of application of measures |
Suppliers are required to inform the CTO beneficiaries they represent through the bills they issue of the implementation of the above provisions.
